Today was sunny! I got home from work, changed clothes and took Ashok for a 3.5 mile run. It was a lovely night out. Ashok was so happy especially when we came upon this big puddle. She started sprinting toward it, dragging me with her and then jumped and splashed through it like a puppy. Witnessing that few seconds of canine joy was worth the effort to get out and run.
I immediately started my Day Two practice for the challenge when I got home. I knew if I didn’t do it immediately it wouldn’t happen. I felt so much better stretching after my run. My heart rate slowed. My energy settled. My breath quieted. By the end of the class, I was ready to settle in for the night.
I cooked myself a healthy tofu and veggie dinner, and I’m going to call it a day. I hope you did something good for yourself today. I feel like I checked all the boxes. I need to meditate when I get done here, and I’ll bet I’ll sleep like a baby.
